Cecilia Ramos' jewelry line combines hand artistry and design sensibility to create a uniquely modern look. Trained as an architect and painter, the designer strives to create one of-a-kind pieces that are in themselves elements of high design that the owner can inhabit. To Cecilia, jewelry is not an appliqué or decoration, but a spatial element that affects both the wearer and those around her. While each piece exudes beauty and style outwards, it is also an extension of one's personal space thus affecting inner movement and feelings. Jewelry is not meant to be worn, but to be lived in. |

Each piece is handcrafted and thus truly one-of-a-kind. Cecilia views the design process as an opportunity to realize innovative concepts through material exploration and tectonic experimentation. While weaving acrylic discs into a necklace or hand painting a metal cuff, the designer challenges conventional material uses integrating mechanical modernity and traditional craft. The play of rigid geometry and meandering lines, laser cut edges joined by traditional stitching, and vibrant colors against neutral surfaces are the essence of the design. |
